Life has run away with me again, and its been over 6 months since my last journal entry....so I thought I would d a quick update!

Last year was amazing - for Christmas I got to travel to Malaysia and go to the end of year convention there where I cosplayed Judal (from Magi) and Kurogane (from Tsubasa). After that I visited my family in Penang and headed to Singapore for New Years Eve party (OMG THE DRINKING GAMES AND INFO ABOUT PPL I WISH I HADN'T HEARD THAT NIGHT!!!)  but I was able to do more cosplay shoots - Ludwig Kakumei  as Wilhelm and xXx Holic as Watanuku) where I got to work with amazing cosplayers and photographers!!!

THANKYOU ALL FOR YOUR EPIC KINDNESS AND FUN TIMES!!!! I WISH TO BE BACK THERE RIGHT NOW!!!

On the work front, I was sent to Hong Kong, Maccau and China in January for 2 weeks which was an amazing experience. In Maccau I was able to see the House of Dancing Water, which was the most spectacular stage performance I have seen, THEY USE A GIANT SWIMMING TANK AS THE BASIS OF THEIR PERFORMANCE!!!  - here is a link if you are interested in finding out more about it - [link]

So on the cosplay front, its about to head into crazy con time - and of course, I've loaded myself with a truck-load of costumes for the conventions and photoshoots around the conventions!  I really hope this year to learn new techniques and really push the creativity of the photoshoots that I'm in. I'm also going to try be more active in uploading photos to DA (I think I said this last year too ) but i still have photographs from back in 2009 I still need to post!!!! T_T I'll start soon I promise!!!!!!

First convention line up is - Melbnova & Gold Coast Nova!!! Still haven't locked down what i'll be cosplaying for the full weekend, but looks like i'll be making a Final Fantasy X costume to join a potentially large group! (can you guess which costume I might be doing???- to - no, its not a giant Moogle no matter how many times you like to say that to ppl ...)  Also - probably cosplaying Bleach character on the Friday - so if anyone is attending that day, don't forget to cosplay too okay!!

Speaking of conventions - I do alot of assisting Japanese voice actors at different conventions ever since my first official gig of translating for Hideo Kojima back in 2007. Since then, I've had the amazing opportunity to work with some of my idols in voice acting and directing! This year I get to meet and work together with 2 voice actors who I really like - Masakazu Morita (who is the voice of Bunny from Tiger&Bunny, Ichigo from Bleach and Tidus from FFX) - He will be appearing at the Gold Coast Supanova from the 20th of April - 22nd of April. (here is the link to the website - [link] ) <-- which is why i'm cosplaying Bleach character on Friday (as they are flying out to promote the new Bleach movie). Abe san, who is the Director of Bleach, will also be flying out to attend!



On July 14th SMASH in Sydney ( here is the link to the website - [link] ) - Shinichiro Miki (who is the voice of Hijikata from Hakuouki, Lockon from Gundam 00, Roy Mustang from FMA just to name a few!!!)
