I'VE BEEN WANTING TO COSPLAY HIJI"K"TA FOR OVER TWO YEARS!!!! >< >< >< I saw an article in an old layers or cosmode of mine, and was like "damn, i wanna cosplay these hwat bishie boys"....so i'm glad that i have finally started.

Now, just have the Oni version, the Shinsengumi version + oni version, the Calander version, and lets not forget - the smexy half naked version....*evil laughs*

ABOUT THE COSTUME
What i'm most proud of in this costume was the hand painting of the flowers. I did them size accurate to the artbook pictures, then ratio to my own body lenghth. Then drew grid lines on the material. Re-drew the 12 flowers, then white base paint each petel, paint the first layer of purple, second layer of purple, mix with third layer of purple, highlight with white and then mix them. Finally the green leaves, which needed 2 layers of green and then white highlights. All in all, they took 36 hours or so to do. (with the last 2 hours of them done during Eurovision ) It was so tedious , but i'm so happy that the flowers are accurate.

The inner kimono and arm guards were made from real hakama material, which i dyed to get the correct graident. I love working with traditional Japnanese materials, and i think it gave the costume the right look.

Belts are real leather and tied in the random way that is shown in the ref pic....seriously...why does he tie it like that??!!! >< >< ><
